Last year, our city discussed severe budget cuts to the library ($900K annually), resulting in 20% reduction in library hours and Sunday closures. Suggested many innovative ideas to overcome this issue. On September 16th, the City Council unanimously approved my idea of converting unused library space into rentals (which I estimated to earn back $200K annually).
